When it comes to improving any area of our lives, the focus should be in changing our thought patterns. Create new thougth paths that benefit you and replace old thoughts in order to change old behaviours.
For weight loss:
Changing the way we look at food can go a long way! We should ask ourselves why do we eat? Is it to satisfy hunger and cravings?...or is there a greater purpose for eating?
Food is our building material to create the right building blocks (cells) for a healthy body. It is a greater part of our survival! Think for a moment...if you were building or repairing your home, would you use quality materials, same, or worse?... For example: If you repair the old rusted plumbing with old rusted pipes and the rotted wood with old rotted wood...soon you would not have a livable house and you would need to move to another home. We are doing exactly that with our bodies on a daily basis...food is what provides the right materials to rebuild/replace our cells. But, that is not the way that we look at food. Most of us look at food as an activity unrelated to our bodies and use it to fill moments of boredom, depression, inadequacies, stress, cravings and, often, get carried away by mindless eating that becomes a lifestyle. If we continue to eat with a disconnect between our heads and our bodies, soon we can find ourselves with serious health issues. Unfortunately, relocating to another body is not possible...this is the one we are entrusted with and need to love and protect!
The best approach is learning how to change your train of thought by replacing old thinking with new positive and empowered thinking. When we value and repect ouselves in other areas, it will enhance our quality of life by improved lifestyle, including in our nutrition...
Make 2015 the year that you change those areas of your life that held you back in the past and begin on a path of self-care and self-improvement.
Tap into resources that fit your needs and grow from there!
Have a Healthy and Happy 2015!
